UNIZIK lecturer killed by herdsmen


A senior lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Dr Nnamdi Ogueche has been killed by suspected fulani herdsmen in Enugu state. The incident was said to have occurred along Ezeagu-Umulokpa Uzo-Uwani road in Enugu state.

Dr Ogueche was said to have presided over a peace meeting between his kinsmen of Adada town Uzo-Uwani and fulani herdsmen. It was also gathered that he was the administrative secretary of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, Enugu State.

Before his death, Dr Ogueche lectured at the University’s medical campus, the College of health Sciences, Nnewi Campus Anambra State. He taught medical Biochemistry and was said to be a very kind and friendly lecturer. Also, he was credited as being one of the best teachers of medical Biochemistry in the school. He was aged 40 and married with three children.
